Cyber Safe Warwickshire have published their September Cyber Scam newsletter.

In this months edition they're raising awareness of parcel delivery texts which millions of mobile users have received. This involves fraudsters requesting a small payment claiming it is needed for a package delivery to be completed, but the texts are a front for fraudsters attempting to steal personal banking details. Also, 40 million T-Mobile customers have been hit with a US data breach whereby criminals stole personal information but no financial details were leaked and T-Mobile has said that it is "taking immediate steps to help protect all of the individuals who may be at risk from this cyberattack". As well as these, vaccine passport scams claiming to provide people with a "digital passport" that "proves you have been vaccinated against COVID-19" and to watch out for an Asda gift card phishing scam in which Action Fraud have received 159 reports within 48 hours about fake emails purporting to be from Asda.
