The aim of Safer Internet Day is to inspire a national conversation about using technology responsibly, respectfully, critically and creatively. It is coordinated in the UK by the UK Safer Internet Centre which is a partnership of three leading charities:

  • Childnet International
  • Internet Watch Foundation (IWF)
  • South West Grid for Learning (SWGfL)

All share the same mission to make the internet a better place for children and young people.

Safer Internet Day takes place globally with hundreds of countries, with the support of the European Commission and national Safer Internet Centres across Europe. A series of resources have been published to support the theme, suitable from 3 - 18 years. To access, click here.
