Child sexual exploitation (CSE) is a type of child abuse. It happens when a child is groomed, forced and/or coerced into sexual activity in exchange for something. This might be consumables such as food, cigarettes and alcohol, gifts such as money or clothes, somewhere to stay or simply the promise of love and affection.

Warwickshire's multi-agency CSE Team are supporting the NWG National CSE Awareness Day on Monday 18th March by running an awareness week across social media, beginning on Sunday 17th March. The multi-agency team are behind the 'Something's Not Right' campaign which aims to raise awareness and tackle child sexual exploitation at the early stages.

The awareness week will highlight the ongoing partnership work tackling CSE in Warwickshire and will reinforce the long term approach with important work happening each and every day. The aim of the week will be to highlight the issues surrounding CSE; encouraging everyone to think, spot and speak out against abuse.
