This pack has been developed by Warwickshire Safeguarding Partnership and their partners. The aim is to provide useful information around responding to risks faced by children and young people (CYP) in care who may be vulnerable to going missing.

The information pack aims to:

• Provide information about the definition of missing
• Support providers in the management and de-escalation of challenging behaviours exhibited by some children in care, avoiding inappropriate prosecutions
• Provide information to care and support. providers and CYP in care to promote awareness of the roles and responsibilities of all agencies involved in safeguarding
• Build effective relationships between the police, care and support providers and CYP in care in Warwickshire
• Improve partnerships to ensure positive outcomes for CYP in care
• Create opportunities for CYP in care to have their say and provide feedback to agencies around how they are treated
