Children in need - DfE published interim findings

The Department for Education (DfE) has published interim findings on a review of children in need outlining how professionals who work with vulnerable children can better identify children in need and understand the impact of their traumatic experiences, and what schools and social care can do to help these children have a positive experience of education. 

Criminalisation of children looked after - new DfE national protocol publication

The Department for Education (DfE) have just published a national protocol to reduce the unnecessary criminalisation of children looked after and care leavers in England. 

Forced Marriage Campaign launched by the Home Office

On 30th November, the Home Office have launched a Forced Marriage campaign following the announcement by the Home Secretary a few weeks ago at the Ending FGM and FM International Summit.

Home Office publishes updated guidance to help frontline workers identify and protect victims of county lines gangs

The guidance outlines what county lines (and associated criminal exploitation) is, signs to look for in potential victims and what to do about it.
