Within each local authority there must be a Local Safeguarding Children Board (LSCB).  The LSCB has a range of roles and statutory functions including developing local safeguarding policy and procedures and scrutinising local arrangements.  The statutory objectives and functions of the LSCB are:

  1. To coordinate what is done by each person or body represented on the Board for the purposes of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children in the areas; and
  2. To ensure the effectiveness of what is done by each person or body for those purposes.

Further details about LSCBs can be found by clicking here

Each LSCB must include representation from board partners and from the local authority, further details can be found by accessing 'The Board'.

Within Warwickshire, the LSCB is known as Warwickshire Safeguarding Children Board (WSCB).
