This year for Safeguarding Adults Week, Warwickshire Safeguarding Adult’s Board are putting a focus on the over 60’s.
Abuse can occur anywhere. In the home by a partner family member or friend. I can happen in the community, at work or at somebody else’s home.
Over the week we will place focus on different abuses that an adult over the age of 60 may be experiencing. Free training sessions for colleagues in all sectors across Warwickshire on a number of topics will be hosted by WSAB. We will also be launching a number of new resources such as:
- a 7-minute video on the VARM
- a dedicated Making Safeguarding Personal page
- posters translated into a number of languages to display within the community
- release our first of many Let’s Talk Warwickshire Podcasts in which we discuss the role of the Board and keeping adults Safe
