Welcome to Warwickshire Safeguarding Children Partnership’s (WSCP) multi-agency training programme!
Our goal is to ensure accessible learning opportunities for all professionals working with children, young people, and families across Warwickshire. On offer, you will find a range of sessions, delivered free of charge in a variety of ways, such as in-person or online training, webinars, workshops and pre-recorded sessions.
Whether you’re new to safeguarding or looking to deepen your expertise, there’s something for you.

How to Book
Webinars:
All webinars can be booked via Eventbrite. Clicking the session link provided in the timetable below will redirect you to the Eventbrite website to complete your booking.
In-person and Online training:
These sessions require booking through the WSCP booking form provided via links in the below timetable.
Important Booking Information for all in person and online training:
- Submitting a booking form does not guarantee a place.
- Each agency has a limited number of places to ensure balanced multi-agency participation.
- If your agency’s allocation is full, you will be placed on a waiting list.
- Bookings are processed on a first-come, first-served basis.
- You will be notified of your booking status within one week of submission.
- WSCP operates a Cancellation and Non-Attendance Policy. Please read before booking on to training.
- Delegates must adhere to WSCPs Training Standards and Etiquette when attending training

Current Training on Offer:
An Introduction to Intrafamilial Child Sexual Abuse
- A better understanding of the scale and nature of child sexual abuse.
- How the impact of child sexual abuse presents in children and young people.
- How children communicate their experiences of sexual abuse and the professional role in helping them do this.
- How and why sexual abuse happens in families.
- Greater confidence in identifying and responding to concerns of intra-familial child sexual abuse.
- Improved ability to identify the potential signs and indicators of sexual abuse and sexually abusive behaviour.
Child Sexual Abuse Webinars (various topics)
- Increase understanding of the key messages and evidence that underpin the CSA Centre’s core practice resources.
- Provide a clear overview of resources, demonstrating how they can be applied effectively in daily professional practice.
- Strengthen confidence and consistency across the multi‑agency workforce through informed use of CSA Centre guidance and tools.
Recognising & Responding to Neglect
- Strengthened understanding and recognition of neglect
- Access new tools and resources
- Apply best practice shared by partner agencies.
- Contribute to improving Warwickshire’s multi‑agency response to neglect.
West Midlands Children & Young People's SARC Training
- Understand who the West Midlands Children & Young People’s SARC service supports.
- Know the referral pathways and how to access the service.
- Recognise the importance of Strategy Meetings in safeguarding practice.
- Understand the differences between Child Protection (CP) and Child Sexual Abuse (CSA) medicals.
- Be aware of timeframes for collecting forensic (DNA) evidence.
- Know the time‑critical medications that can be provided following Child Sexual Abuse.
Contextual Safeguarding: In Practice
- Describe the core principles of the Contextual Safeguarding framework and how it expands traditional safeguarding approaches.
- Identify how extra-familial contexts (such as peer networks, schools, community spaces, and digital environments) interact with systemic inequalities, including racism, poverty, and marginalisation to influence risk and resilience in young people’s lives.
- Explore practical, collaborative approaches to intervene in extra-familial contexts and co-create safer spaces with young people and communities.

WCC Education Safeguarding offers training for schools, colleges and education providers and WCC C&F staff. This training offer includes both in-person and virtual sessions tailored to the evolving needs of professionals across Warwickshire from Early Help to Designated Safeguarding Leads. It equips participants with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to support children and families in educational and alternative settings in Warwickshire.
