Blind cords: Understanding the risks

The Child Accident Prevention Trust has published some useful information in regards to understanding the risks blind cords have on your child's safety.

County Lines - new Home Office Guidance for Partners

As part of the Government’s ongoing commitment to tackle serious and violent crime, the Home Office has relaunched its County Lines awareness-raising campaign. Their campaign aims to raise awareness about County Lines among frontline staff, like teachers, health workers and those working in the transport, housing and security sectors. It is these people who are most likely to encounter those young people or individuals who are most at risk of County Lines.

Latest Relationship and Sex Education Bulletin - mandatory changes to RSE curriculum

The latest Relationship and Sex Education Bulletin has been published by Respect Yourself, with a key focus on the mandatory changes to the RSE curriculum. This will hopefully lead to a huge step forward in supporting children understand what are healthy relationships, amongst much more.

Child sexual abuse in religious institutions

The Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse (IICSA) has published a report on child sexual abuse in religious institutions. The report, based on accounts shared by survivors who were sexually abused in a religious context, found that: 48% of survivors who participated knew of someone else being abused in the same institution; 68% of participants shared that they did not disclose the abuse at the time; and 37% shared that the reason they did not report abuse at the time was feelings of shame or embarrassment.
